Help From Howard
Is Dwight Howard our saving grace? Maybe. We do know one thing; he is ready to help this team avoid the same mistakes he's made.
After officially signing with the Sixers, in addition to Seth Curry and Danny Green, just weeks after winning a championship ring, Dwight Howard is ready to be a leader on this young team.
While Howard has only won one championship, he is an eight-time All-Star, eight-time All-NBA Team honoree, five-time All-Defensive Team Member, and three-time Defensive Player of the Year. He has played for Orlando, LA, Houston, Atlanta, Charlotte, Washington, back to the LA for the championship win, and now to Philadelphia. His resume is stacked and we're excited to see what his guidance can do for this team.
"I think it's a straight and narrow path [to get to the top]. And that path is hard work, dedication, and sacrifice," Howard states. And we are hopeful that he can guide the Sixers down that narrow path. Howard goes on to recount his time in the NBA and how he got to his current position.
With lots of shifting going on behind the scenes and fresh faces on the court, we are excited to see where this season takes the Sixers (hopefully, they'll be in a better position than the birds). Onward!
